Our Governors

Sally Shaw – Trust Appointed Governor

 Sally was appointed as Chair of Governors at Palace Fields Primary School in August 2023.

With over 10 years’ experience in leadership roles within the Further and Higher Education Sectors, as well as significant prior experience within a local authority setting, she has a strong background in governance, resource and budget management, and developing and delivering strategies and KPIs.

Sally grew up in the local area and went to a primary school just like Palace Fields. She is passionate about ensuring that all children get the best start in their academic lives and are supported to achieve their full potential in a safe and happy environment. She is link governor for inclusion (covering safeguarding, attendance and pupil premium) and English.

Karen Crawley - Parent Governor

Karen has been a Parent Governor since March 2021 and was excited to take on this role as she grew up in the Palace Fields area, attending Palace Fields Primary School.

Karen wants any child who attends this school to leave with the same wonderful memories, together with a bright future ahead. She is passionate for all children to achieve their goals and for potential to be recognised along the way so they can make a real difference to their future. 

Karen has a background of nearly 20 years in the local authority which includes children’s safeguarding and is the Anti-bullying Link Governor for the school including behaviour and Maths.
