Shanna McGough

Shanna McGough - Parent Governor

I have been a Parent Governor at Palace Fields since April 2024

I previously owned a family centred business in the local area and so have experience in Governance, Safeguarding and working with the community.  I am currently the Link Governor within the school for Early Years and Reading/Phonics.

As a parent of two children who attend the school, I am deeply invested in supporting its continued success and ensuring that all pupils thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.

I am passionate about children’s wellbeing and education, and I believe that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. I am committed to working in partnership with staff, governors, and parents to help the school maintain high standards and provide the best possible experiences for all pupils as they embark on their academic careers.

Daniel Green (Staff Governor)

Daniel has been part of the Palace Fields community since 2023 and currently works as a Year 5 teacher, as well as Curriculum Lead for Science, Art and Design Technology. He also leads the School Council, helping to ensure that children’s voices are heard and have a direct influence on decisions within the school.

Daniel became a Staff Governor because he is deeply committed to living out the school’s KIT values and supporting the vision of Palace Fields, with a particular focus on improving life chances for every child. He is passionate about championing staff and contributing to the ongoing improvement and development of the school.

Becoming a governor has provided Daniel with an exciting opportunity to broaden his understanding of whole-school leadership and governance, while using his experience and passion to make a positive difference for all members of the school community.
