Class 7
Class 7 2023 - 2024
Mrs Knowles and Mrs Clarke
We are a Resource Base for Key Stage 2 children with cognitive and learning needs. Our children join attend mainstream classes for assemblies, playtime and lunchtime and also join their year bands for some curriculum subjects.
Each day, we expect our pupils to show our ACORN (ambition, creativity, ownership, resilience and nurture) values in all that they do, whilst showing mutual respect and tolerance to one another.
To view our Class 7 curriculum overview, please see the files section at the bottom of this page. This document will outline the topics for each term, for each area of the curriculum.
In addition to this, you will find the Class 7 Spring term timetable and our Spring term knowledge organisers.
Key Information
Uniform
Our pupil’s should arrive at school in full school uniform, including suitable all-black footwear. Please can you ensure that your child's uniform is clearly labelled with their name. We will always encourage children to be responsible for their own belongings whilst in school.
Reading
At Palace Fields, we have set the expectation that children are reading at home every day, as well as having their reading books in school with them every day. Our library is open to the children every break time for them to take books out, and then swap them, once they have finished.
Homework
Homework will be set every Thursday with the expectation that it will be back in school the following Tuesday. Alongside our homework each week, I will be setting a stand-alone homework quest that should be completed over the course of a few weeks - details can be found at the bottom of this page, along with our curriculum map!
PE
All Class 7 children will be swimming this half-term, every Wednesday afternoon.
Snack
Snack is available in school (milk and toast). If your child is having snack, we ask that it is brought in on Monday morning in an envelope with your child's name and the amount clearly shown. For both milk and toast, it is £3 for the week (60p per day).
Water Bottles
We encourage children to bring a bottle of water to school daily to keep them hydrated throughout their lessons. Children will have many opportunities throughout the day to have a drink of water. Please remember that juice is not permitted in water bottles stored in class but may be consumed with their snack at break time and packed lunch at lunchtime.
Upcoming trips/events
Year 4 - Residential trip to Tattenhall Outdoor Centre
